Mustafizur R Khan is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, TEDX speaker and a fund manager with over 23 years of experience of heading teams across diverse industries in Asia. He joined his family business, Aziz & Co in 1996 before pursuing his banking career with HSBC Bangladesh in 2005 and rose to HSBC’s Head of Brands & Sponsorship in Singapore until 2012. Prior to joining IDLC VC fund as partner in 2018, he was involved in Bangladesh startup ecosystem, and actively managed the first startup accelerator program in the country. He co founded co-working space in Dhaka, crowd funded and directed a documentary on tech startups which later pivoted to a startup business platform called Startup Dhaka. In past 6 years, he has helped arranged 200+ pitches, hosted 10+ major startup events, and arranged funding for 15+ startups.
Mustafiz, did his undergraduate at COE College in the United States with a double major in Business Administration and Fine Arts. He has masters in Marketing from the Nanyang Business School in Singapore. He also completed executive courses at INSEAD Business School in Singapore, ESSEC Business School in Singapore and IVEY Business School in Hong Kong.
