: The Covid-19 pandemic has already disrupted all businesses in Bangladesh. Our Chash-E App is designed to help ensure that the primary sector remains strong in order to support the economy. It is designed for farmers and wholesalers who primarily sell livestock, fresh fruits and vegetables.
For example:
• The upcoming Eid-Ul-Azha is likely to see an increase in the demand for cows, goats, sheep etc. but due to the restrictions set by the Government and for health concerns, public gatherings are supposed to be avoided. Therefore, our app will allow livestock farmers and wholesalers to connect with large retailers and make their sales to them. This Chash-E App can be used at other times too, not just during Eid-Ul-Adha festivities.
• The upcoming months will see a rise in the supply of hilsa but without the appropriate distribution channels, good quality fish will be wasted. The Chash-E App will allow fish farmers and wholesalers to contact retailers directly to sell their fish.
• Seasonal fruits will become very popular over the next few weeks (mangoes, jackfruit, lychees, black plum, etc.) and farmers and wholesalers are likely to face tremendous losses if these are not sold on time. Therefore, the Chash-E App will enable farmers and wholesalers to sell their produce directly to retailers.
A farmer or wholesaler will have to have a bank account, Nagad account or bKash account registered against their profile and hence their KYC will be established. Since retailers usually pay their supplier once they receive their goods, the farmers and wholesalers may receive their money after the retailers inspect and approve goods. During the Covid-19 crisis, some retailers may decide to pay a portion of the total bill prior to receiving the goods. However, payment terms will have to be decided by the retailers but the Chash-E App shall have a payment gateway with SSL Commerce so that payments can be made swiftly. Through the app a retailer will therefore be able to make a purchase from the farmer or wholesaler and the farmer or wholesaler will have the money paid to their account. The farmers and wholesalers will be able to upload pictures and other details of their livestock, fish or fruits/vegetables through the App.

Type of Fish (Hilsha, Pangash, Rui etc.)

Amount (gram/kg/tonne)

Average weight per fruit/vegetable

If retailers wish, they can extend this app service to end users as well, but this will require a separate user interface and pricing structure.
Notes: The retailers will have to partner with delivery platforms like “TruckLagbe” or “Shohoz” to manage the distribution system and this is outside of the scope of our system. If needed, we can discuss with “Shohoz” or “TruckLagbe” to integrate our system so that it is easier for retailers to take their produce from the farmers.
