Solution Information:
Title : Movement Tracking of COVID-19 Affected Traveler/Passenger Using Online Ticketing Service of Public Transport (Bus, Launch, Train)
Description : Project Introduction: The project “Movement Tracking of Passengers/Travelers/People Travel by Public Transport. This for inter-district movement tracking which includes the following identification: 1. Person name with his mobile number 2. Type of vehicle 3. Identification of Coach/Bus/Launch name and number 4. Identification of the place wherefrom to where. 5. Identify all people of the Coach/Bus/Launce with the particular person who is related to COVID-19. Project Preparation: This Tracking project could be implemented easily. There is a big portion of inter-district Buses are connected with On-line ticketing system Launches are also connected with online system. Train have their own digital ticketing platform including online. Most of the vehicles from Dhaka to other districts and other districts to Dhaka have a sustainable platform. It is very easy and with less cost, all inter-district transportation can be on online or digital ticketing platform. It will start at any time by collecting data from existing online ticketing service providers. Information keeping process: In online platform Passenger/Travelers purchase their ticket by mobile apps or web. Passengers need to give their personal and travel information by app or web. This information of passenger is being stored in Online Ticketing service provider’s server/store. In case of collection ticket form counter, passengers should give their personal and travel information to counter. Counter manager will give passenger information to Online Ticketing Platform server for printing passenger’s Ticket and system will store data in sever. Existing Platform Facility: There are around four to five online ticketing systems which are popular at this moment for Buses in Bangladesh such as Go Bus, BD Ticket, Bus BD, Shohoz, Chokrozan. Every system have similarity of Seat selling and booking process. Every trip has one “Chalan” with all passengers name and all information of Bus. Again almost all online system generate daily log data for individual trip/ bus/ bus operators. Again total log data can be stored in a file. Data Transfer: Any Online Ticketing Service provider can transfer data for Trip/passenger or any other by mail to anywhere. It can be stored in National server or in any server. Identification of particular Passenger: Travel data can be identified for a single person from stored data for any period. From this personal data it is easy to identify whole passenger’s data for specific trip including Bus Operator, Bus Scheduled, Driver, Helper and Supervisor. What is the benefit for COVID-19: In case of being COVID-19 positive after immediate travelling by any vehicle it is easy to identify all the passengers who travel with the affected person within the shortest possible time. People also avoid local travelling to collect ticket from ticket counters, that also help less interaction with others. Summary: As per above any Online Ticket Management Service provider shall share particular passenger’s full travel information with his contact details. It will help tracking that passenger/trip and all passengers who travel with the specific passenger who is identified for COVID-19 positive. Government Administration easily track the suspected COVID-19 person and isolate them within the quickest time that will help reduce further increasing/spreading of the Virus.
