Description
: The spread of COVID 19 in Bangladesh has brought forth challenges like controlling COVID virus spread and provision of healthcare in this regard. While healthcare institutes are fighting to mitigate their challenges, we will focus on few other socio-economic challenges Bangladesh is facing.
1. Distribution of relief to whoever deserves in reality is a big challenge.
2. During national lockdown, a lot of daily labors have lost their income, thereby increasing risk of crimes, joblessness, and other socio-financial crisis.
3. During disaster or epidemics, price of regular essential commodities tends to rise, which causes further micro financial crisis.
Our system proposes a digital solution, where people in need may register for relief through SMS short codes, disabling the requirement of internet connectivity. The system will require their NID, and after NID verification, they will be entitled to receive Govt relief.
We will setup a Govt digital warehouse of essential daily commodities as well, which will be sold at a fair price. Citizens may order essential commodities through either smartphone app or SMS short codes.
For the distribution of relief and necessary commodities to desired addresses, volunteers may register through either Smartphone app or SMS short code, where their identity will also be verified through NID. Through this system, daily labors who lost income during epidemics, or post epidemics, may find a way to incur income again.
We will integrate the full system with Nagad, a Bangladesh Post Office payment gateway, which will be used for payment for necessary commodities, and wages of distribution volunteers. This will mobilize Nagad as well.
On the whole, the solution will ensure smooth relief distribution, provision of essential commodities, creation of employment opportunities for currently and prospective unemployed groups, and mobilize Nagad, a Govt payment gateway.
