: We are proposing an artificial intelligent chatbot in the “Access to Information” category. The AI chatbot can be found here, http://betacorona.egeneration.co. This is eGeneration BeatCorona, our effort to fight corona with artificial intelligence.
eGeneration BeatCorona provides real time statistics of the covid-19 pandemic and also provides graphical visualization on total death, total recovery and under treatment for both Bangladesh and the world. eGeneration BeatCorona also offers an X-ray image analysis tool for determining COVID-19. and also describes the symptoms and prevention of covid-19. Moreover, there are all the latest awareness videos and campaigns.
The development of the AI chatbot “eGeneration Coronabot” is the main objective of this proposal.
The chatbot provides two primary features, one of them is assessment of COVID- 19, based on symptoms through which the bot can provide the result into 3 general category showing how likely the user is to be infected by COVID-19.
Another feature of the chatbot is that it can acknowledge and answer user questions using artificial intelligence. The user will just have to write them in the given text-area of the bot. Therefore, besides symptoms assessment you can ask it about any COVID-19 related questions. The bot can respond to questions asked in Bangla, English and Banglish (Bangla written with English letters).

For training our model we've used Bangla, English and Banglish datasets. We have machine learning and similarity measurement approach for developing this chatbot. For machine learning we have implemented Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) networks of the Recurrent Neural Network architecture. For similarity measurement, two types of similarity measurement algorithms are implemented – Cosine Similarity and Jaro-Winkler Similarity.
As mentioned above eGeneration BeatCorona is featured in http://corona.gov.bd, which is the government website for controlling this pandemic. As a result we are getting large amount of user queries for re-training the system. The more people use it the better it gets. This system is retrained every week. As a result the bot keeps getting smarter with time. The data for training will keep increasing in size making our chatbot more capable of providing accurate answers. We are hopeful that it will take approximately 2-3 weeks to process and integrate nearly all commonly asked questions. Consequently, the bot will achieve nearly 95% accuracy.
